The details

The classic, in colour.

Full-length A–Z vinyl record dividers in soft matt acrylic, in six colours to match your room, your shelving or your favourite sleeve. Push one all the way in and the end still sits proud of the records, so the letters are always on show. Each one is laser-cut and engraved in our Cardiff workshop, and lettered on both ends so it works whichever way your shelf faces.

  • Muted, modern colours
Six tones chosen to sit well alongside record sleeves rather than fight them.
  • Always on show
At 380 mm long, they're longer than an LP sleeve, so the letters stay visible even when the divider is pushed fully in.
  • Reversible
Lettering on both ends. Flip a divider round to suit a left- or right-facing shelf.
  • Soft matt finish
A smooth, low-sheen surface that shows fewer fingerprints than gloss and wipes clean easily.

No fixings, nothing to fit. Slide them in, and move them as your collection grows.

SPEC

  • Material: matt acrylic
  • Size: 380mm L × 40mm H × 4mm thick
  • Letters: laser-engraved on both ends
  • Fits: any upright storage, including shelves, cube units, crates and record boxes

CHOOSING A SET

  • Pack of 6: A–D, E–H, I–L, M–P, Q–T, U–Z. Ideal for a growing collection.
  • Pack of 13: A–B through Y–Z. For a collection that's outgrown six.
  • Pack of 26: one for every letter, and the best value per divider.

CHOOSING A COLOUR

Light Hessian and Soft Sage are quiet and natural, and suit pale shelving and oak. Mustard and Dusty Pink add warmth without shouting. Deep Navy and Vinyl Black are the most understated, and disappear neatly into dark shelving so only the letters stand out.

CARE

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid household sprays, solvents and abrasive cloths, which can mark the matt surface.

FAQ

Do I need a left or right version?
No. The letters are on both ends, so just flip the divider round to suit your shelf.

Acrylic or wood?
Acrylic is for colour: a way to match your room or add a bit of personality to the shelf. Our oak and ash dividers are for a warmer, natural look. Both are full-length with the same lettering, so it comes down to which suits your space.

Which pack do I need?
As a rough guide: 6 for a few hundred records, 13 once a section gets hard to browse, and 26 for large collections where every letter needs its own place.

Care

Dust with a dry or barely-damp cloth — never soaking wet. Keep out of direct sunlight and off direct heat, and wipe spills straight away so they don't sit and mark. Re-oil once a year with Fiddes hard wax oil to refresh the finish.

Real wood — grain and colour vary from piece to piece, and solid timber shifts a little with the seasons. That's character, not a fault.

Questions

Is it ready to use? Yes — everything is freestanding, with no fixing or fitting.

Which timber can I choose? Solid oak, ash or walnut, depending on the piece and the options above.

Can I commission a different size? Often, yes — head to Commissions and tell us what you're after.
