The Compound Now Playing LP Ledge
Choosing your wood.
Oak is warm with an open grain. Ash is paler and brighter, with a clean, Scandinavian feel. Walnut is the richest and darkest, with deep chocolate tones. All are solid, sustainably sourced hardwoods — the choice is about the look you want.

The details
The LP Ledge does one job well: it puts the record you're playing on the wall, front-facing, where it can be seen. Two metal pins hold the sleeve at the base so it leans back against the wall, and swapping in the next record takes seconds. Your shelves hold the collection. This holds the one you're listening to.
Each one is made to order in our Cardiff workshop from solid oak or walnut, not veneer and not MDF, with a softly radiused front edge and pins of solid brass or raw steel. It arrives ready to hang and fixes to the wall with concealed fittings, so all you see is timber and metal.

NOTES
Every ledge is made from solid timber, so tone and grain vary from piece to piece. The brass and raw steel are solid and left unlacquered, so both will develop a natural patina over time. Because they're solid metal, not plated, you can polish them back to bright whenever you like, or leave them to age. The price is for one ledge. Records are not included.
Delivery & returns
Collect free from the Cardiff workshop, local delivery across Cardiff & South Wales, or couriered UK-wide. Pieces are made to order — current dispatch times are in our shipping policy.
14 days to change your mind on in-stock pieces. Made-to-order items are built just for you, so please choose carefully; return postage is covered by the customer.
Care
Dust with a dry or barely-damp cloth — never soaking wet. Keep out of direct sunlight and off direct heat, and wipe spills straight away so they don't sit and mark. Re-oil once a year with Fiddes hard wax oil to refresh the finish.
Real wood — grain and colour vary from piece to piece, and solid timber shifts a little with the seasons. That's character, not a fault.
